A Unity Walk sponsored by the Women’s Ministry of Flat Rock AME Church is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, at McCurry Park in Fayetteville.
The event is free although donations of ‘loose change” will be accepted.
“The focus is to bring women of the community together in fellowship, for exercise and fun,” according to a statement. “There has been such separatism in the recent election cycle.”
Fayetteville Mayor Ed Johnson is the pastor of Flat Rock AME Church.
