John (Jack) L. Erskine, 76, of Locust Grove, Ga. passed away on January 17, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer.

Jack was born in Wilmington, Del. and migrated to Georgia in the 1960’s and made Georgia home.  He was an aircraft mechanic and a Mason and served our country in the Air Force. He also had a love of motorcycles, hunting, fishing and animals.

Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Erskine; his sister, Charlotte Erskine; his parents, Katherine and Elwood Erskine.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Michel and husband Wayne of Newnan; grandchildren Zach Frazier of Newnan, Heather Narron and husband Chris of Senoia; sister Johanna Eader and husband Earl of Pipe Creek, Texas; nieces Dianne Carre of Wilmington, Del., Debra Crosson, of Wilmington, Del., Sharon Ohlhaver of Baltimore, Md., Kathy Eader of Austin, Texas, and Amy Beasley of Kemeah, Texas; nephews Jim Erskine of Wilmington, Del. and Tom Erskine of Blackwood, N.J.; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at  4 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City, with Pastor Brick Mason officiating.
