An altercation by a Hampton woman at the Hotlanta Wings store in Fayetteville resulted in her arrest after threatening the manager over being charged 50 cents for “sprinkles” on her order of wings.

Katie Donniela Young, 19, was charged with terroristic threats and acts, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Fayetteville Police spokesman Mike Whitlow said the Oct. 4 incident occurred at the Hotlanta Wings store on North Glynn Street when Young placed a drive-thru order for lemon pepper wings.

“When the cashier notified (Young) of her total, she became irate over a 50-cent charge for ‘sprinkles,’” Whitlow said. “The woman began yelling derogatory names at employees and eventually parked her car in the drive-thru lane and ran into the store where she began yelling and cursing at employees. The woman threatened the manager and ran behind the counter in a physically threatening manner. The manager ran to the office and called police.”

Whitlow said Young was removed by her associate and left the restaurant before police arrived.

Fayetteville detectives were able to identify Young by her tag number and the credit card she left behind, Whitlow said.
