After an extensive application process which included an interview conducted by human resource professionals, honor student Bilal Zahir, a rising senior at Whitewater High School, was selected as one of 70 participants from over 300 applicants for the 2015 Turner Voices Youth Media Institute.

Zahir was recommended for the program by his teachers Nicholas Tang and Ashley Ellis. His future aspirations include attending SCAD to study motion media design for film and television.

Turner Voices Youth Media Institute is a week-long intensive program focused on leadership and media career development held on the campus of Georgia Tech.

In one of the pictures above, Zahir is introducing panelist Betsy Holland of Turner Broadcasting System’s Office of Corporate Responsibility.
