Georgia’s Juvenile Justice Commissioner Avery D. Niles is sending teams of recruiters to seek qualified candidates for Juvenile Corrections Officer (JCO) positions during two upcoming DJJ job fairs on the northern edge of Fayette County in College Park.

Commissioner Niles says his recruiters are always on the lookout for Georgia veterans at these job fairs. DJJ has immediate openings for professionally motivated mature adults to help juvenile offenders make successful reentry from the juvenile justice system back to society as productive citizens.

“DJJ is a great place to make your work count,” Commissioner Niles said.

Currently two job fairs are scheduled for the Clayton County Career Center, 1630 Phoenix Blvd. in College Park. The dates are June 10 and 23, and the times for both events are 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

DJJ recruiters are authorized to interview qualified candidates on-site. Applicants should bring their resumes and come dressed for job interviews. All job seekers can click on www.djjcareers.org for more information about career opportunities in juvenile corrections. Check the web site to see what documents should be brought by job seekers to make the interview process go more smoothly.

Career fair times and locations may change and additional career fair dates may be added to the recruiting schedule, according to officials. Applicants should check the web site for late-breaking schedule changes before visiting a job fair.
