Drivers honored for perfect attendance

Just like with a classroom teacher, when a school bus driver calls in sick, or needs time off, a substitute has to be called in because students still need to get to school.

With a shortage of school bus drivers and substitute drivers, finding a replacement is not always an easy task. That is why the Fayette County Public School System’s Transportation Department honors bus drivers and monitors who did not miss a day of work during the school year.

A total of 20 school bus drivers had perfect attendance for the 2014-2015 school year:

Mark Ballard.

Lynette Bowles.

Tara Bradshaw.

Angela Broome.

Jerry Carpenter.

Danette Corcoran.

Mary Catherine Domaleski.

Tammy Dorsey.

Bob Greenway.

Krystyna Koutsounadis.

Marie Large.

Ann Linder.

Brenda Nall.

Dusty Rhodes.

Doris Rockhill.

Steve Thompson.

Shirley Warrior.

Tim Wilder.

Mel Wiley.

Margaret Young.

Each driver received a certificate of acknowledgement at the transportation department’s annual appreciation luncheon in May.
