The state’s highest passing score on the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Word 2013 certification exam belongs to Whitewater High student Jason Hess.

As Georgia’s champion in the MOS Word 2013 exam track, Hess will represent the state at the MOS U.S. National Championship June 18-20 in Orlando. He will also receive a Microsoft Surface and certificate.

If Hess wins at the U.S. Nationals, he will represent the United States in the 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship.

Microsoft certification is offered to Georgia students through the Microsoft IT Academy program. Students can take exams in a number of MOS technologies, earning industry-recognized certifications that prepare them for college and career.
