Anita Jean Lawler, of Walnut Mountain, Ellijay, Ga., passed away May 11, 2015, after a long battle with cancer.
Anita was a native of Atlanta, born November 24, 1942. Anita attended Georgia State University. She had a long career as administrative assistants, retiring in 2012 as Judicial Administrative Assistant for the US District Court of the Northern District of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by parents, Preston and Juanita Lawler, of Fayetteville, Ga. She is survived by lifelong friends, Susan Harden, Fay Core, Laura Brookshire, Kay Core Fortenberry, and cousins Charlotte Scurry, Betty Anne and Warren Griffin, Helen and Edward Erickson, Jimmy and Connie Eubanks and a host of other family and friends.
