Robert “Bob” A. Kocis of Tyrone, Ga. died April 10, 2015.
Born July 25, 1927 in Johnstown, Pa., Bob left high school to serve with the U.S. Navy during World War II but returned to graduate from Southmont High School. Bob was a long time supervisor at American Can Co. in Ohio and Georgia. His beloved wife of 38 years, Leila Mae Starzman Armstrong Kocis, preceded him, as did his brothers Tom, Eddie, Mike, Stephen, and Charles, his sister Mary, and Mike’s wife Bette.
Bob enjoyed travel, family reunions and seaside vacations. In later years, he treasured a special friendship with Mary Harris of Fairburn. Bob will be sorely missed by his brother Jimmy, sister Polly, sisters-in-law Irene, Betty, and Barbara, dear friend John Watkins, family and friends.
Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Miamiville, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
