Dave Serafin, Peachtree City Civil Air Patrol Falcon Field (GA-116) is being promoted to Major.

Serafin is currently a mission pilot and orientation pilot and has been a member of the GA-116 Civil Air Patrol since 2011. Mission pilots are on call when an emergency has been activated and has been trained to search areas in accordance with Civil Air Patrol regulations.  

Orientation pilots are trained to offer five free orientation flights to cadets.  O-flights are part of the aerospace education program.

In addition to powered o-flights, cadets are also offered five glider flights.

Currently, GA-116 meets every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 225 Robinson Road, Peachtree City. Ages 12 and up are welcome to join. Find out more about GA-116 at www.GA116.org or on Facebook.

Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a nonprofit organization with 58,000 members nationwide, operating a fleet of 550 aircraft.
