Community Fayette County Names & Faces Tyrone

The Science Olympiad Team from Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in Tyrone showed their expertise recently by bringing home awards from a Regional Qualifier at Columbus State University.

The team participated in 10 events and successfully placed in each category.

Students who earned medals in the competition include:

Peter Martinez and Nate Smith – 1^st Place for Bottle Rocket;

Jack Studdard and Nate Smith – 2^nd Place for Bridge Building;

Jaidan Sullivan and Mary Jane Uzochukwu – 4^th place for Anatomy;

Kebbron Berhanu and Sabrina Nguyen – 4^th Place for Entomology.

The students gained valuable experience and knowledge and look forward to competing next year.
