GO Church recently launched a new campus in Fayette County to expand its ministry reach in the South Metro Atlanta area.
Dozens of volunteers helped unload and set up signage, production equipment, kids’ environments, activities and more as the portable campus prepared for its inaugural gathering on Sunday, September 13. Within a few hours, Starr’s Mill High School was transformed into GO Church Fayette County.
During a volunteer team huddle prior to welcoming the community that morning, Campus Pastor Ben Calhoun thanked, encouraged and prayed with staff and volunteers.
We’re believing God will do something amazing through this new campus,” Calhoun said. “Our hope is that everyone who walks through the doors will encounter the Most High God and leave knowing their life will never be the same.”
By 10 a.m., hundreds of people and community members had arrived at GO Church Fayette County. Parents guided their children to GO Kids, where age-appropriate environments had been created for babies, toddlers, elementary students, and children through fifth grade.
Teens and adults gathered in the auditorium, where a live worship team led the congregation in contemporary worship. The 90-minute gathering also featured a message from Lead Pastor J.C. Worley, who founded GO Church alongside his wife, Kimberly, in 2014.
How GO Church will “love Fayette County to life”
Before officially launching on September 13, GO Church volunteers met Fayette County community needs through churchwide Serve Days, completing free landscaping and pressure washing projects as well as visiting local senior citizens. This commitment to “love people to life” through service projects is deeply rooted in the GO Church culture.
In 2025, over 1,700 GO Church volunteers served local communities through 252 local outreach projects, according to the church’s website.
Fayette County is home to over 125,000 residents and as of July 2025, more than 21% of residents are under the age of 18, according to census.gov.
GO Church Fayette County Campus has a focus on “raising up the next generation of world changers for Jesus Christ” through various ministries including GO Kids, GO Youth, Young Adults, Internships, and GO U (School of Ministry and Theology).
GO Church’s growth beyond Fayette County
GO Church was founded over a decade ago by Lead Pastors JC and Kimberly Worley with Matthew 28:18–20 as the launching pad, where Jesus directs his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations.”
Since then, GO Church has expanded to four U.S. campuses—East Coweta, Fayette County, Atlanta’s historic Westside, and Montgomery County, Maryland—as well as international campuses in Belize, India, and Northern Thailand. A fourth international campus is scheduled to launch in Jamaica in Fall 2026.
GO Español, a new Spanish-language gathering, also launched at the East Coweta Campus in Sharpsburg on September 13. The gathering meets each Sunday at 11:45 a.m. in their East Auditorium.
GO Church Fayette County gathers on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. at Starr’s Mill High School, which is located at 193 Panther Path in Fayetteville.
