The Good Ole Days
Monday, August 31 – 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fayette Senior Services (FSS) – Fayetteville location at The Life Enrichment Center, 4 Center Drive: Close your eyes and imagine a time when life felt a little slower, a little simpler, and the biggest rule of the day was just to be home by dark. Join Dale Phenicie, author of Be Home By Dark, as he reflects on “the good ole days” and growing up in a small town in the years following WWII. Hear stories from his childhood, where freedom to roam was part of everyday life and the phrase “it takes a village” truly reflected how communities looked out for one another. Dale will share the inspiration behind his book and what those formative years revealed about connection, community, and growing up in a very different era. Along the way, the conversation opens the door for shared memories and personal stories, creating a warm space to reflect on what those times meant then, and what they still mean today. This program is FREE but pre-registration is required. Call 770-461-0813 or email [email protected] (include name, phone number and event title) to register. FSS members and non-members welcome. www.Fayss.org.
