Peachtree City, GA — Midwest Food Bank Georgia is proud to announce the close of an unprecedented year of impact, distributing $38,049,665 worth of free food to communities across Georgia and the Southeast in 2025. This milestone reflects the organization’s continued growth and deep commitment to serving individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Over the past five years, Midwest Food Bank Georgia has more than doubled its annual distribution—from $18.9 million in 2020 to over $38 million in 2025—demonstrating the strength of community partnerships, donor generosity, and operational efficiency.

This level of impact was achieved while operating with the equivalent of just five full-time staff members, supported by more than 6,800 volunteers, along with independent funders, corporate and community partners, and food donors. In 2025, Midwest Food Bank Georgia served 264 nonprofit agency partners, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and feeding programs, all of which distribute food free of charge to those in need.

This milestone year was also made possible through strong local business partnerships, including the organization’s 2025 Cornerstone Partners, Cooper Lighting and Chick-fil-A Corporate. Their leadership-level investment and engagement helped fuel both operational capacity and community reach, demonstrating the critical role corporate partners play in strengthening the regional hunger relief network.

Midwest Food Bank Georgia is grateful to partner with over 100 food donors, including major supporters such as Nestlé, Convoy of Hope, Feed the Children, Perrigo, and Kellogg’s. The majority of the food distributed is donated at no cost; the organization’s primary expense is transportation. This highly efficient model allows Midwest Food Bank Georgia to convert $1 of support into $30 worth of food for communities in need.

Throughout 2025, the organization also responded creatively and swiftly to increased demand caused by government shutdown impacts and SNAP benefit delays, ensuring nonprofit partners had the resources needed to continue serving vulnerable populations without interruption.

“This year is not just about numbers—it represents hope, stability, and dignity for hundreds of thousands of people,” said Midwest Food Bank Georgia Executive Director, Patrick Burke. “It’s a powerful example of what happens when generosity, strong partnerships, and operational excellence come together to serve our neighbors in need.”

Midwest Food Bank Georgia remains committed to scaling impact, strengthening its nonprofit partner network, and standing ready to respond in times of crisis—ensuring that individuals and families not only receive support, but have the opportunity to thrive.
