Emily Winkle has been a resident of Fayette County for most of her life. Born and raised in Fayetteville, she graduated from Fayette County High School—go Tigers! After leaving for college at Georgia Tech and starting her career, she returned to Fayette when she was expecting her son, knowing this was where she wanted to raise her family. She moved to Peachtree City in 2002 and has called it home ever since.
Emily has one son, David, who is 22 years old. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in May and has recently moved to Dallas to begin his career in finance.
Emily’s career path has taken many turns, but each step has shaped her into the person she is today. She began her career in logistics with UPS before transitioning to smaller companies that better suited her style. After her son was born, she started a mortgage company, following in the footsteps of her mother, who was both a real estate agent and appraiser. When the Great Recession hit, Emily returned to logistics sales until a respected community leader encouraged her to consider a career in commercial real estate. Although she knew little about the field at first, she earned her license in 2016 and joined Pace Lynch a year later. Today, she has found her true calling and considers it an honor to guide clients through some of the most critical business decisions they will ever make.
Besides her career, Emily contributes through her work with the Fayette County Education Foundation. Even though her son went through the entire Fayette County school system, she didn’t learn about the Foundation until a few years ago when a board member invited her to join. Since then, she has become a dedicated supporter of its mission to bridge the gap between what the state provides and what teachers and students need.
This spring, Emily and the Foundation team helped raise over $80,000 at the 2nd annual Fayette Fling. These funds support early learning initiatives, teacher grants, staff support, and leadership programs—including $26,000 in scholarships for teachers and paraprofessionals.
Emily often says, “Great schools don’t just build great students—they build strong communities. I’m proud to be part of that story in Fayette.”
When Emily is not working or volunteering, she books time with her piano teacher, the gym, and loves to get lost in a book on her back porch or trek the paths of Peachtree City. Wave hello when you see her walking on the cart paths in Peachtree City, and thank her for all she does for our community.
