Get a Pet of the Week: Archie is Affectionate, Adorable, and Almost Perfect

Archie is a shelter favorite and once you meet him it’s easy to see why the staff and volunteers absolutely adore him. At about 2.5 years old and 57 pounds, Archie is the “Goldilocks” of dogs: his age, size, and personality are all just right.  If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate medium-sized companion with an incredible temperament, Archie could be “just right” for you.

This sweet cuddle bug loves people and other dogs alike. He has an easygoing personality, rarely barks, and is a softie at heart. Archie is responsive to training and eager to please, often enjoying praise even more than treats! He absolutely loves walks and takes in every moment with joy and a big smile. As if that weren’t enough, Archie is strikingly handsome with gorgeous markings and irresistible eyes.  

Archie is available for adoption at Fayette County Animal Shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is open seven days a week—Monday through Friday from 11–5, and weekends from 12–5. Come meet Archie and see for yourself just how close to perfect he really is!
