Several people received the Sacrament of Confirmation recently at The Cathedral of Christ the King, Sharpsburg.Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments of the church, the others being: Holy Eucharist, Baptism, Unction (anointing with oil)Holy Orders (ordination to the clergy),. Reconciliation, and Holy Matrimony..Those receiving the sacrament, and pictured with members of the clergy, were: Maddox and Grace Gardner, Senoia; Archdeacon Mark Johnson, Carrollton;Father Mike Wilton, Palmetto; Robert and Sherri Benovatz, Sharpsburg, Canon Jim Gardner, Tyrone;Bishop David Epps; Canon Tony McGee, Newnan; David Pike, Jonesboro; Canon Dan Hale, Peachtree City; Dr Cliff Bost, Peachtree City; and Mike and Andrea Deschamps, Sharpsburg.
