Ebenezer United Methodist Church’s women’s group is offering its “Savor the Memories” Cookbook for sale to the public. The book is described as “an absolutely beautiful cookbook with our Ebenezer United Methodist Church pictured on the padded hardback cover.”

The book is in a three-ring binder with tabbed dividers for quick reference. The laminated cover can easily be wiped clean.

“Our ‘Savor the Memories’ cookbook honors our church’s heritage with a dedication to one of our beloved church members in honor of her 100th birthday,” a spokesperson said, “plus a section of treasured recipes from some of our memorable members who have passed away, and over 100 pages of delicious recipes provided by our current church members.”

Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will go towards selected charities and needs of the church.

To purchase the book, call the church at 770-631-0306 and leave a message with your name and local phone number.

Ebenezer is one of Fayette’s historic churches, organized in the 1880s and admitted into the Methodist Conference in 1883. The year before the church was built, members worshiped under a brush arbor and 26 members were baptized in Whitewater Creek.

The present sanctuary at 680 Ebenezer Church Rd. is the same one built in the 1880s. The present pastor is the Rev. Robert (Bob) Tobias. Services are on Sundays at 11 a.m.
