Palmetto Police Sgt. Lee Gragg has been nominated for the America’s Most Wanted television show’s “All-Star” designation. A benefit motorcycle ride for the injured officer will be held Saturday.

Sgt. Gragg was seriously injured on Sept. 12 during a routine traffic stop in Palmetto that led to the loss of his left eye, a brain injury, a broken back and 17 broken bones in his face and his jaw broken in four places. Gragg is still recovering from his injuries and is back at work part-time.

Those interested can place their vote on the America’s Most Wanted website at http://www.amw.com/allstar/2010/nominee-detail.cfm?id=8432.

There will be raffle prizes and a 15 percent discount at Wings & Things. All funds raised will go directly to Sgt. Gragg and his family.

Chief Bob Starrett of the Austell Police Dept. and his band “The Highway Band” will be performing at Wings & Things.

The ride is sponsored by the Blaze-N-Blood Riders and the Blue Knights. Thanks for your help and call or email if any questions.
