There is no better way for Senoia residents to have a say in what types of businesses and services the city might see in the future than to attend the town hall meeting held every two years to solicit citizen input. Those two years are up and the town hall meeting will be held Aug. 13.
Senoia Downtown Development Authority Chairman Suzanne Helfman said the intention of the community meeting is to solicit input from citizens on ways to improve their hometown and to learn what types of business and services residents would like to see in the future.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Freeman Sasser building located at the Seavy Street Park. A light meal will also be served during the meeting.
It is noteworthy that the town hall meetings are not geared to residents hearing from those in elected or appointed office. The format is just the opposite. It is one where residents suggest what they would like to see then vote for their top favorites.
“Give us your input about Senoia. What would you like to see change? Is there a store or service you think Senoia should offer? What is important to improve in our town? Cast your vote on what is important to you,” said Helfman.
DDA holds this type of town hall meeting every two years.
