Many years ago we moved to a quiet Ebenezer Church Road from the Carlings Brewery area in Atlanta for peace and quiet of a farm/residential area.
Wow, what has happened?
At 4:30 in the a.m., we are awakened by an industrial-size garbage truck picking up an industrial-size garbage bin with the clang/bang that wakes me from a quiet sleep. The truck then roars back down the road and out of the neighborhood.
I would like for the county commissioners to tell me why someone in a residential area needs a garbage pick up at 4:30 a.m., and what kind of garbage are you manufacturing that needs to be secreted out at 4:30 in the morning?
Our garbage truck comes during the day on Thursday, picks up a regular plastic garbage can and heads to the next house to pick up another plastic garbage can. We don’t need a garbage pick up every Tuesday at 4:30 with the clang bang of metal hitting concrete, so let’s enforce the peace and quiet of a residential neighborhood and put a stop to this.
