Eleven Fayette County 4H Club members competed at the Cloverleaf Project Achievement for fifth and sixth grade students in Douglasville March 23. They all worked long and hard to prepare for the competition, which is based on presentation of an illustrated demonstration.

4-H members select a topic of interest, research and write a speech, prepare posters and other visuals to illustrate their speech, then are judged against other members in the same category.

Eleven surrounding counties competed at Project Achievement with a total of 424 students.

Abigail Beaulieu, Gabby Borden, Skyler Bugg, Ryan Cousins, Olivia Ibeh, Taniyah Lee, Lexie Lino , Summer Paul, Matthew Smith, Taylor Smith, and Jason Williams attended the competition.

Abigail Beaulieu, Gabby Borden, Matthew Smith, and Jason Williams placed first, Ryan Cousins, and Summer Paul placed second, and Lexi Lino placed third.

Middle and high school 4-H members Aelise Gagliano, Katie Mize, Tori Rossi, Sam Smith, and Sasha Smith attended as teen leaders.

Sara Kahley, Kim Jackson, and April Nasworthy attended as Fayette County Extension Staff Members, with special thanks to Cathleen McKernan for attending as a 4-H volunteer.
