Several senior adult groups at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church meet throughout the year for fellowship, exercise, luncheons and day trips.
The S.A.G.E. group (senior adults going everywhere)enjoys monthly outings to various attractions throughout the state. Transportation is provided but reservations usually are required.
The March trip will be to The World of Coke on Friday, March 22. The cost is $18 for tickets and transportation, plus lunch. The bus will leave the church at 9 a.m. and will return at 3 p.m. Call 770-461-4313 for information.
Titus II is a luncheon group which meets the first Tuesday of each month for lunch and a brief program. The cost of the meal is $6. Make reservations with Martha Turner, 770-461-2802, by noon Thursday prior to the meeting. Speakers planned for April and May include State Senator Ronnie Chance and a representative from Coweta-Fayette EMC.
The walking group meets at 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the Family Life Center, except for the first Tuesday when they meet at 1:30 p.m.
Walkers make a $1 donation each day they walk and support a variety of church projects and missions.
The Seasoned Singers rehearse at 1:30 p.m. each Tuesday in the choir room. Those age 55 and over are encouraged to join. Fore more information, contact TomRobinson, 770-461-7795 or robi4131@bellsouth.net.
