It was a clean sweep for the J.C. Booth Middle School eighth-grade girls and boys basketball teams, as both won the Fayette County middle school basketball championship for the 2016-2017 season.
The girls defeated Rising Starr 39-23 and the boys defeated Flat Rock 48-33. Both games took place Feb. 16.
The last time both Warrior teams won the championship was in 2009. Both teams ended the season with nine wins and only one loss.
The Warrior girls are led by Coach Erin Gil and the boys by Coach Dave Edinger.
