PTC’s All Saints Anglican celebrates 10th anniversary

Last month, All Saints Anglican Church held a celebration for its 10th Anniversary as a church.

On Feb. 25, 2007, All Saints held its first service in the Gathering Place in Peachtree City, presided over by the Rev. David Anderson.

From there, the church moved to Huddleston Elementary School and then in July of that same year to a storefront building on Kelly Drive.

In November 2007, the Rev. Michael Fry joined the church as its first and current rector.

As the church grew, it moved to the Windgate Road United Methodist Church youth building in 2009 until the current church was built on Ebenezer Road.  The first service in the newly erected facility was held on Dec. 7, 2014.

The service last month was even more special as the Rt. Rev. David Anderson, who was instrumental in All Saints’ beginnings as a new church, presided and delivered the sermon.

After the service, Anderson blessed the new Garden of All Souls Memorial Garden which had just been completed.  A reception followed, enhanced by the string quartet from Sandy Creek High School.

Special guests in attendance were Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb, Fayette County Commissioner Steve Brown, attorney John Sours, landscaper Mike Lorber and musical arranger, Wanda Cooley who arranged a song especially for the occasion.
