2 men caught at Verizon store, charged with possessing fake IDs

An Atlanta man and a Decatur man were arrested May 6 by Peachtree City police after they were discovered to be in possession of a number of forms of government identification.

Zachariah J. Walker, 24, of Decatur, was charged with 11 counts of financial identity fraud, seven counts of manufacture/sale of false identification, seven counts of first degree forgery and permitting an unlicensed person to drive, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Jonathan A. Wright, 24, of Atlanta, was charged with seven counts of manufacture/sale of false identification, nine counts of financial identity fraud, six counts of second degree forgery, one count of first degree forgery, improper tag display and revoked or suspended license, according to jail records.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesperson Odilia Bergh said officers were called to the Verizon store in regard to fraudulent activity.

Officers arrived and located the two men, Bergh said, adding that they were in possession of numerous items of government identification and taken into custody.
