David Lowell Becker, 83, of Fayetteville

David Lowell Becker, 83, of Fayetteville passed away at home on Tuesday, May 22. 2018.   He was born on July 12, 1934 in Melrose, Minnesota to the late Clem and Emmeline Becker.

Dave proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked at Eastern Airlines for 29 years as a mechanic and later retired from Ratheon.   He was awarded the Charles Taylor “Master Mechanic” Award for 50 years of dedicated service in Aviation Safety from the Federal Aviation Association.   Others described Dave as a great man, a good friend and a mentor, a gentle soul, and a sweet person and a great aviation mechanic. His hobbies included auto maintenance, anything aviation, The Dixie Wing, Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sally Ann Becker; his daughters, Jill Rogers of Fayetteville, and Susan Blitch (Jim) of Alto, Ga.

There will be no services at this time.
