Emmett Lamar Seals, Jr., of Newnan, Georgia was “called home to the man upstairs” on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

He was born on June 7, 1937, to Dolores and Emmett Lamar Seals Sr. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Marian Chapman Seals.

He is survived by his sister, Scherry Seals Sievert, his son, Lou, his daughter Lorri (Philip ) and his four grandchildren, Connor, Annie, Emmy, and Reeves. Lamar reflected his love and adoration for all his grandchildren and he taught them so much “common sense wisdom” through the years.

Lamar started life with very humble beginnings. He founded LaMar Management, Inc., a corporation specializing in senior affordable housing. His motto, not just for his residents but in all aspects of his life, was to “treat others as you like to be treated”.

Lamar was a lifetime supporter of Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291, and Children’s Harbor, 1 Our Children’s Hwy, Alexander City, AL 35010. Feel free to donate to either one of these organizations in memory of him.
