The funny thing is that when I was a ClubCorp member, they charged the regular club dues per month, but…

I checked Trader Joe’s corporate website. There is no mention of Peachtree City in the new stores section.

I agree. There is not even a suggestion on the TJ’s corporate site that a new store opening is planned for Georgia, let alone Peachtree City. And, as Gcort49 questioned, why keep it secret when all other store openings are widely publicized?

If TJ was good at Public Relations, as good as their reputation states, then why all the mystery?
Just come out and announce either it is a ‘go’ or not. I would think for any business hoping for continued success would not feel teasing the public is a good way to put down roots in their neighborhood.Frankly, the traffic situation will get worse. The new 54/74 intersection would not be benefitting The Avenue in any way, let alone potential TJ customers.
I have lived a good life without TJ this far. No reason to believe it won’t continue -

I am very glad that finally they will have a location on the south side, but it seems like the old Kmart location would have been better just from a parking perspective. Getting in and out of The Avenue will be a nightmare. I don’t know if anything is going on at the Kmart location, I was just thinking of a better place for it.

Kroger, like all big box stores, have a ‘non-compete’ clause in their 50 year lease. No other business with 80% of sales food product related can exist on same property. Lowes/Home Depot/WalMart/Gas stations and more, have and honor this clause.
You will never see a Home Depot and Lowes share same property. They may be across the street, but never same ‘mall’

The more that golf courses charge for dues, the more they price out regular players, and the less social benefit…
Bravo - that would indeed, the Old Course seems to be better tended.
