Walter Northscot Grounsell, III of Peachtree City, Fayette County, Ga., and Elizabeth Van Doorn of Dothan, Houston County, Ala., were married on Friday, July 13, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. in the evening in Columbus, Ga., the home of the bride’s parents.

The beautiful private wedding ceremony was officiated by Father Ray Greiner in Saint George’s Anglican Church in Columbus, Ga.

The wedding was attended by the immediate family members of the bride and groom.

A small reception following the weddding was given by Mr. and Mrs. Donald Van Doorn at the historic Rothschild-Pound House Inn. A fabulous three tiered pearlized cake decorated with ivory and green roses and lillies of the valley flowers was given to the happily married couple by the groom’s brother and sister-in-law, owners of ABS Gretchen’s Cakes of Maulden, S.C.

The following night, the Grounsell’s hosted a gala dance at the Columbus Country Club for friends and family.

The newly-weds will be residing in Shreveport, La.
