0Mary Ruth Gibbs, 75, of Newnan, Ga., passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 after a brief illness.
She was born in Atlanta, Ga. to Vernon Norris Cline and Mary Ruth Cline on February 16, 1937. Mrs. Gibbs was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her husband Dave Gibbs of Newnan, Ga.; daughters Lisa Hyman & husband Howard of Pebble Beach, Calif., Leslie Lawrence & husband Steve of Peachtree City; grandchildren Benjamin Hyman of Pebble Beach, Calif., Becky & Rachel Lawrence of Peachtree City; sister Nancy Callaway & husband Frank of White, Ga. and niece Tara Chendemi & children Madi and Parker of Canton, Ga.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, with Minister Aubrey Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
