The Peachtree City Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Chainsaw Team visited Atlanta TRACON A80, an air traffic control facility to receive equipment donated by the local union known as the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA). Air Traffic Controller Rafael Naveira is also member of the CERT chainsaw team and initially raised the issue of needing equipment for the chainsaw team.

Controllers know how important it is to have the necessary tools and resources to operate effectively, especially in mission-critical professions. Christioher Phillips, the President of the local union and Rafeal Naviera led a tour of the air traffic control facility and then presented the CERT team with their new equipment. It is an example of local entities supporting each other to better serve the community.
