McIntosh students awarded Merit Scholarships

McIntosh High students Caleb M. Claiborne and Madhavraj Premkumar have been awarded a College-sponsored Merit Scholarship.

Caleb M. Claiborne was awarded a National Merit University of Alabama Scholarship. Claiborne’s probable career field is consulting.

Madhavraj Premkumar was awarded a National Merit University of Georgia Scholarship. Premkumar’s probably career field is healthcare.

The college-sponsored awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship. By the conclusion of this year’s competition, about 7,500 academic champions will have won National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $28 million.
