The Peachtree City Council will consider approval of a final change order for the now-completed bubble enclosure over the Kedron pools at its meeting tomorrow night.

The city will pay between $93,468 and $146,170 to close out the project, according to a city memo published this afternoon just before 4 p.m.

The change order will bring the grand total for the new bubble and air exchange system to $716,754, which is coming from the $3 million facility improvement bond approved by council late last year.

Council is expected to authorize the larger figure, with city staff negotiating the matter with the contractor and their subcontractors. A decision will be made during the 7 p.m. meeting at City Hall.

In other business announced this afternoon in advance of tomorrow’s meeting, council is expected to consider spending up to $60,000 for remodeling the Gathering Place recreation building with new flooring, kitchen cabinet improvements and repairs, interior and exterior painting and repairs to the heating, ventilation and cooling system.

The funds for that project also would come from the $3 million facility improvement bond authorized by council last year.
