A Fairburn man got more than he may have bargained for, after attempting to enter vehicles on Peachtree City’s south side. Police quickly located the man, placing him under arrest for criminal attempt and several traffic and drug charges.

Jaden O. Daniels, 20, was charged with two counts of criminal attempt, running a red light, driving through a safety zone, reckless driving, DUI drugs and misdemeanor marijuana, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Peachtree City police on Feb. 9 at approximately 1:29 p.m. responded to the area of Dividend Drive and TDK Boulevard in reference to a man wearing all black clothing with a light blue ski mask and pulling on car door handles, according to the police report.

The report noted that, upon officers’ arrival to the area, a search began for the subject when another officer witnessed a vehicle nearly cause a collision at the intersection of Crosstown Drive and Ga. Highway 74 South. The officer subsequently conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.

“Further investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle to be the same subject attempting to enter the vehicles at the complainant`s location,” the report said.

Daniels was placed under arrest for traffic related violations as well as pending charges for his criminal attempt to commit two counts of entering auto, according to the report.

  1. Hey Dawn what law is that? Put him back on the street immediately following his bail release. Then he doesn’t show up for his court date. Then he continues to commit a more serious crime? It is a vicious cycle we are in. He is obviously unemployed and has no motivation in life but to try and steal for his drug use. Tell me again follow what law?
