Oak Grove Elementary pathfinders charted patterns and conquered counting challenges as they explored the land of numbers.
Students in Iris Rodriguez’s kindergarten class created a number path around a shape by placing dots while practicing one-to-one counting and number recognition. Students also worked with number cards to connect the quantities they counted to written numerals.
“I hope students strengthened their understanding of one-to-one counting, number recognition, and connecting numbers to quantities,” said Rodriguez. “The hands-on activity also gave them an opportunity to practice counting carefully, recognizing numerals, and working cooperatively with their classmates.”
