As summer gets underway, churches across Fayette County are preparing to welcome children and families for Vacation Bible School programs featuring Bible lessons, music, crafts, games and other activities.

Many churches are offering free or low-cost programs throughout June and July, with themes ranging from rainforest adventures to lessons about faith, service and God’s love.

Students will complete a study of the Book of Psalms. Dinner will be served nightly beginning at 5:30 p.m. during the weekday sessions. The event is free, though registration is recommended. Organizers say the program is open to youth and adults of all ages.

The Citizen has compiled this guide using information provided by churches and information available on church websites as of publication. Because dates, times, age requirements, registration information and event details can change, families are encouraged to visit individual church websites or contact churches directly for the most current information before attending.

Churches wishing to have their Vacation Bible School programs included in future updates may submit information, including dates, times, themes, age groups and registration details, to The Citizen at [email protected].
