The drill dynasty continues. The Fayette County High JROTC Drill Team won a 7th title at the 2026 state championships.

The Tigers won gold in both Armed Platoon Drill and Unarmed Squad. They are led by senior Drill Captain Huzaifa Khan. Fellow seniors Charity Richards, Treasure Williams, and Maxwell Lott were also highlighted as key figures in the victory.

The team has qualified for the championship every year since the program was launched by First Sergeant Anthony Bell.

“I’ve coached for 16 seasons, and this is by far the best Drill Team I have ever put on the floor,” Bell said. “The technical skills are there, but the heart of this team is what sets them apart.”
