The annual Fayetteville Christmas Parade returns to the Historic Downtown district this Saturday, November 29, 2025, starting at 6 p.m., followed by the Light Up City Center Park celebration and tree lighting, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m.

The parade will follow the traditional route, which begins in the Fayette County High School parking lot and moves south along Tiger Trail, east along Stonewall Avenue (Highway 54 eastbound) past the Fayetteville City Cemetery, south on City Center Parkway to circle around Fayetteville City Hall and City Center Park, east again along Stonewall Avenue (Highway 54 eastbound), north on Jack Dettmering Way to wrap around the Historic Fayette County Courthouse, west on Lanier Avenue (Highway 54 westbound), and then north on Tiger Trail returning to the Fayette County High School parking lot. A parade route map is available on the City’s social media and website, www.fayetteville-ga.gov/news, and on Main Street Fayetteville’s social media and website, www.downtownfayetteville.org.

Please note, local road closures to accommodate the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Great viewing spots for the parade include City Center Parkway around City Center Park, Stonewall Avenue on the corners of Fayetteville City Hall, and the shops and restaurants located around the Courthouse Square. Parking will be available at the Lafayette Educational Center on Lafayette Avenue, the Fayette County Government Complex on the Courthouse Square, the Fayette County Public Library on Heritage Park Way, Fayetteville First United Methodist Church on Melissa Segars Way, Fayetteville First Baptist Church on Johnson Avenue, and the Fayette County Justice Center on Center Drive.

Live music will kick off the Light Up City Center Park event, which will also include train rides, face painting, food trucks, and cookie decorating (first 200 are free). The tree lighting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m. City Center Park is located behind Fayetteville City Hall, 210 Stonewall Avenue West, Fayetteville, Georgia 30214.

According to North Pole officials, Santa Claus will participate in the Fayetteville Christmas Parade, but he will head back home immediately afterward, so he can get ready to return to City Center Park on Saturday, December 13, 4-8 p.m., for the annual Miracle on Main Street Christmas Market, where he will visit with children and adults.
