To our fellow Peachtree City residents — especially those new to the community
We, the undersigned residents, former elected officials, and business owners of Peachtree City, believe our city deserves steady, constructive leadership — not a return to the division and dysfunction of the past.
Peachtree City is thriving today. We want to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, Steve Brown — who served as mayor in the early 2000s — is bringing toxicity back into what should be a nonpartisan local election. His time in office was marked by constant conflict, a persistent use of false and misleading information, and personal attacks on those who disagreed with him. He frequently clashed with local and state leaders, isolating our city and damaging its reputation.
We saw this same pattern during his time as a county commissioner — and now, he’s trying it again in his run for mayor. His approach isn’t about building consensus; it’s about creating controversy.
As mayor or city councilmember, you must be an independent thinker. This is a role that requires thoughtful leadership and accountability — it is not a team event. Any candidate who aligns with Steve Brown is not offering independent leadership — they’re advancing his divisive agenda.
We strongly oppose the election of Steve Brown and any candidate who embraces his style of politics.
Peachtree City deserves leaders who prioritize collaboration, common ground, and real progress — not personal crusades or political score-settling.
Please make your voice heard. Vote this November.
