The Fayette County Public Schools Board of Education has been recognized with the Georgia School Boards Association’s (GSBA) 2025 Exemplary Board Recognition, the highest level of achievement in GSBA’s recognition program.

The school system’s school boards have earned this recognition each year since its inception in 2015, making this the tenth consecutive award.

The Fayette County Board of Education consists of Scott Hollowell, chairman, District 3; Randy Hough, vice-chairman, District 1; Roy Rabold, District 2; Dr. Regina Daigre, District 4; and Brian Anderson, at-large.

This honor underscores the Board’s steadfast commitment to effective governance, continuous improvement, transparency, and collaboration, all of which contribute to fostering strong schools and maximizing opportunities for every student in the district.

The GSBA Board Recognition Program includes three levels of recognition: Quality Board, Distinguished Board, and Exemplary Board. Attaining the Exemplary level represents the highest mark of distinction for local school boards in Georgia.
