In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Rotary Club of Peachtree City participated in a collaborative effort with Open Prayer Spaces to celebrate Rotary International’s 120th Birthday. The event culminated in the assembly of 120 care packages intended for local city servants, reinforcing the bond between Rotary and many of the nonprofits in the community they serve.
The celebration, which took place at Rotary’s regular lunch meeting, was led by club president Patti Kadkhodaian, “I love collaboration with other nonprofits to expand our reach and magnify our impact,” she said. This partnership with Open Prayer Spaces, an interdenominational and cross-cultural group, underscores the Rotary Club’s commitment to fostering unity and positive action within the community.
Mary Frances Bowley, co-founder of Open Prayer Spaces, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Together, we can pray blessings over our community and activate positive change through our partnerships.” Peachtree City Mayor Kim Learnard, an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Peachtree City, was in attendance to participate in the assembly and she personally delivered the packages to the Public Works department, recognizing their hard work and dedication to the community. Mayor Learnard shared, “Our hard-working City crews were surprised and very gratified by the show of support. We are grateful for this effort.”
