Booth Middle School sixth-grade student Callie You was recognized today at the State Capitol as the Fayette County winner of the 24th Annual North Georgia Water Planning District Essay Contest.
The competition, which draws between 500 and 600 student entries annually, celebrates 16 winners from across the water district for their outstanding essays on water conservation and stewardship. Callie was honored for her exceptional effort and received a $100 prize in recognition of her achievement.
The North Georgia Water Planning District Essay Contest encourages students to explore the importance of water resources in their communities and inspires future leaders to advocate for water sustainability.
