The ABWA Iris Chapter is thrilled to announce, “The Art Party,” an evening of art, wine, and community on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The venue for this cultural extravaganza is the historic Bailey-Tebault House, located at 633 Meriwether St., Griffin. Dress is cocktail attire.

The event gathers art enthusiasts and community members to come together to celebrate creativity and camaraderie. Tickets for The Art Party are priced at $50 and can be purchased through ABWA members or by calling Nadine Tyft at 770-228-1326.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, starting at $250, providing businesses and individuals with a chance to contribute to this cultural event that benefits the chapter’s College Scholarship Fund for Women. Local artist Joyce Perdue Smith’s work will be featured in a live auction, showcasing a selection of matted, framed, and numbered prints. A handful of these prints will be available to view prior to the event at the Griffin-Spalding County Library. The live auction will also offer sporting events and unique experiences, sure to delight any audience. A silent auction will also occur, featuring specially curated baskets of goods and services, making this Art Party unique and exciting.

As guests peruse the auction items, they can enjoy an assortment of wine, beer, and appetizers, adding a flavorful touch to the evening.

Proceeds from The Art Party will benefit the chapter’s College Scholarship Fund for Women, an initiative that has already supported dozens of women in their pursuit of higher education. By attending The Art Party, guests not only partake in an evening of cultural enrichment but also contribute to the advancement of women’s education and empowerment.
