McIntosh Literary rocks region tourney

The McIntosh High Literary Team was the big winner at their region tournament, placing in every event and winning in five areas to claim the championship.

Sage Shah won in both Essay – Argumentative and Extemporaneous Speaking – Domestic. Ella Hamilton won in Essay – Literary Analysis. Zoura Chan won in Extemporaneous Speaking – International.

Max Thompson, Tyler Hooton, Gavin Smalley, and Evan Johnson won for Quartet.

In other strong showings, Zoe Mitchell placed 2nd in Girls Solo, Max Thompson placed 2nd in Boys Solo, Abigail Greenstein placed 2nd in Literary Performance – Dramatic, and Adeline Blair placed 3rd in Literary Performance – Humorous.

Callie McClincy, Izabella Herrera, and Lakiah Shah placed 3rd for Trio.

McIntosh went on to finish 6th at the state competition. Shah placed 2nd in Essay – Argumentative, and Chan placed 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking – International.
