Virginia graduated from Good Counsel Academy in Mankato, MN. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN, she began her career teaching high school Latin and Spanish in Creston, IA, where she met her husband, Dale. After raising her three children, she earned a degree in accounting from Parkland College in Champaign, IL, and spent the rest of her career working in that field.

Virginia will be remembered for many things, including her strong Catholic faith and her love for her family. She had an incredible green thumb and was an avid home gardener.

As a great fan of country music, she could be found listening to it for much of the day. She enjoyed cooking and was always on the lookout for new recipes to try when family visited or for neighborhood gatherings.

She particularly enjoyed living in Peachtree City for over twenty years due to the welcoming community of friends and neighbors. Her great love for dogs was apparent at a young age as she rescued strays and her four-legged companions were a mainstay of her existence.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City. Interment will follow the service at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Friends and family are invited to return to the church for a reception at Loretto Hall.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

We welcome you to provide your condolences, thoughts, and memories on our Tribute Wall.
