Joan Madison Velsmid passed away peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA on October 21, 2023.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Michael, children, sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and her cherished dogs; Pixie and Pepper. She greatly loved her family with all her heart.
Joan was a light of joy, love and generosity to all who knew her. She was an amazingly strong person, steadfast in faith, who touched so many lives with adoration and devotion. She faithfully ministered within her church and local community.
In addition to her church ministries and outreach, Joan was also a Realtor in her community. So many people beyond her family were blessed by her presence, warmth and dedication.
In her last days, Joan told us not to cry but to rejoice in God’s blessings, the precious good times and the great memories we have had together. Joan was a blessing to all the lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan’s Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, Georgia on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11 A.M. Her burial will be private.
