Many branches of the Oak Grove Elementary tree returned to their roots for a staff reunion luncheon.

Head custodian Virgil McKnight, who has been a Brave since the building opened in 1986, hosted the reunion. More than 50 former staff members returned to tour the building with student ambassadors and enjoy a lunch sponsored by Michelle Humes Real Estate Group. The teachers loved seeing the new building, reminiscing about former students, and looking through old yearbooks.

Assistant Principal Cindy Holland was touched to see so many Braves back home.

“One thing that Principal Chris Riecke and I heard over and over was the overwhelming feeling that Oak Grove has always been a family since the day the building opened.”
