Whitewater health students dig into digital storytelling

Everyone has a story to tell, and Whitewater High health students got a unique opportunity to tell theirs with a digital storytelling project.

Students were tasked with creating a personal narrative with written and visual elements on an iPad to share with their classmates. Building off their studies of the Habitudes book about self-leadership, the short movies had to relate at least one of the habitudes with their story.

The project is designed to mold students’ higher-order thinking through questioning and problem-solving activities with real life activities and interdisciplinary connections and develop plans that are clear, logical, sequential, and integrated across the curriculum.

The project was a partnership with the Woodruff Arts Center, whose instructors helped guide the students, and Comcast, who provided iPads.
