Fayette County Sheriff’s Office personnel are crediting the community at large with helping identify two suspects in on ongoing truck theft operation.
“We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to each one of you for your unwavering support and assistance in helping us identify these two suspects,” said Sheriff Barry Babb. “However, our work is not yet complete. We are now reaching out to you again, seeking your help locating these two individuals’ whereabouts.”
According to reports, the incident occurred the morning of Oct. 25 at the Welcome Pantry on Hwy. 138. A red Ford F-150 was left running at the entrance to the gas station, and the suspect entered the truck and drove away while the driver was inside the store.
Officials released surveillance footage from the gas station in hopes that someone might recognize the people involved in the theft.
An update on the case was released Nov. 6 by the FCSO on its social media platforms informing the public that the two suspects had been identified and asking for help in locating them.
Akeiva Barnes and Nathan Todd are both wanted for felony charges of theft by taking and currently have active warrants out for their arrests. If you have any information regarding the current location of the suspects, you are asked to contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 770-461-6353.

I think I recognize the dude…saw him on Lower Fayetteville Rd. holding a sign in my lane that said “Slow” on one side and “Stop” on the other side…the lady is harder to place…maybe drive through at Taco Bell?
